positive:
Great concept and a worthwhile cause
Guests love the idea of this boat hotel and its philosophy in training up local long-term unemployed people. Like them, you should find that the staff are extremely helpful, friendly and dedicated - determined to make the most of their chance.
positive:
Good value, simple accommodation
Whilst this is far from being luxury accommodation, the place is well designed with a trendy feel and superb ambiance. The place is trully unique, with exceptional views of the river. Whilst the rooms are indeed simple, they are cosy, smart and clean with all the essentials that you really need. You're surely going to be spending most of your time out and about exploring Amsterdam and not staying in your room in any case!
positive:
Nice location near the city centre
The hotel is ideally situated for visiting the attractions of central Amsterdam - just a ten-minute walk away. The Central Station is also within close walking distance.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Very small rooms
Don't expect much room to move around in here, guests say that even if they are smart and cosy, the bedrooms are very compact.
negative:
Water problems
You can never be sure what kind of shower you're going to have in this hotel. Guests say the water isn't regular. The temperature varies from very hot to very cold and the pressure between strong and weak.
negative:
Expensive extras
If you want to purchase anything on top of your room, such as food, drink, parking or laundry, you may find the concept of value is stretched to the limit. Guests fid that they are often quite pricey.
