Gaya Centre Hotel (Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia)

Guests loved the central location of the hotel which made it easy to access many restaurants, shops and attractions on foot. The waterfront is not far and you can book plenty of activities like diving and boat tours in close vicinity.

Guests liked the large and clean rooms. The air conditioning worked well for them. Beds are comfortable and there is plenty of hot water in the bathroom. Higher floor rooms even offer a nice view. Guests mentioned that the rooms could do with some updates, but felt they received a good value for the money.

Many guests enjoyed the customer service they received here. The staff is friendly and helpful, providing guests with tours that can be booked right at the hotel or ideas what to do in the local area. English is spoken well so communication is not an issue. Service was great in the restaurant as well.

Many guests mentioned that the Wi-Fi was slow or not really working. You might not want to count on this ammenity when staying here.

Guests were often surprised to learn that this hotel requests a cash deposit. When checking in be sure to have some money on hand.

Most guests felt the breakfast was not offering much choice for the money they charged. Food was not regularly replenished which made the choices even more scarce. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes around to try an alternative.
