Galaxy Hotel (Argostoli, Greece)

The hotel is out on the peninsula, rather than in the town of Argostoli, but there are still quite a few restaurants and cafes well within walking distance. Many guests came to Greece for a relaxing holiday, and were very happy with the location and atmosphere of the Galaxy.

Several guests mention that one of the owners, Pedro, puts on free weekly barbeques by the pool, and that these are a lot of fun. Some groups also mention that he allows them to use the facilities themselves when they want to throw a bit of a barbeque party.

The owners, Pedro and his mom Eleni, are universally described as friendly easygoing and very helpful. Guests speak of feeling completely relaxed while staying at the Galaxy, and the owners trying to facilitate any reasonable request.

Though most concede that the property is indeed advertised as a two star hotel, guests say that in terms of facilities it really is a two star hotel. The staff certainly gets very high marks, but the facilities are described as fairly basic.

There were not many guests who actually enjoyed the breakfast served at the hotel. It is described as being too simple and insufficient. Most suggest foregoing breakfast at the hotel, for breakfast at one at the great little cafes in the area.

So, perhaps it's just as well that breakfast is the only meal served at the hotel. Some guests did find it a little inconvenient that no other food was available on-site. They feel it would have been nice to at least be able to order a quick snack.
