Again and again guests complimented the owner, Francesco, for being a simply incredible host. They said that he led from the front by being the most welcoming and helpful host many had ever encountered. His staff seemed to have followed his lead, and were described as both professional and friendly.
The hotel's immediate neighbourhood was said to be somewhat unattractive, so guests were happy to report that the hotel itself had a lovely pool and terrace. It was the perfect spot to spend the time between excursions to Pompeii, Sorrento and surrounds.
Motorists really seemed to have liked both the location of the hotel, which they said was in a great central position for touring the sites, as well as the fact that there was ample parking on-site.
This was by far the most common, and most serious, complaint. Guest after guest mentioned that, while they liked the hotel and service there, they were really put off by the fact that it was in the middle of a stretch of entirely abandoned hotels. It gave them an eerie feeling.
While guests weren't all that surprised to be reporting that the breakfast could have been better, they were absolutely stunned that they had to report that the coffee was dreadful. They didn't seem to know how this could even be possible in Italy.
While not mentioned often, it was reported that noise seems to travel without let or hindrance from room to room. It appears that no soundproof measures that have been taken.
