About Casa Vacanze Le Fornaci

The Casa Vacanze Le Fornaci is based on the old structure which hosted the Baglioni furnace for three hundred years, up to the second world war. After 300 years of activity the production process had to be upgraded and a new site was opened within the village. As a consequence, the old furnace remained as a simple site for brick drying. Today the old structure has been restored and partitioned into 13 apartments facing the magnificent and luxuriant Tuscan countryside. A square of handmade bricks at the heart of the structure gives prominence to the bare stone of the surrounding wall, which slopes down into a wide park. A number of facilities are available to the hosts such as a swimming pool, a solarium and a big communal barbecue. Other facilities include a fresh grape arbour and, beneath it, big tables where you can spend pleasant convivial moments. For those who prefer more secluded places, there are small tables and reading areas in the shade of trees. Within the complex is the wine store “Cantuccio del vino” where the owners offer the perfect mix of exciting and light degustation and relaxed enjoyment of a glass of good wine chosen from a large collection.
