Emporikon Athens Hotel (Athens, Greece)

The rooms are nicely decorated and modern, they are spacious and bright with enough storage space for your belongings. The beds are very comfortable, the bed linens are good quality and clean. The en-suite bathrooms are very spacious and clean.

The hotel is perfectly located in the centre of the city; you can easily walk to many of the local tourist attractions, the Acropolis is within view of the hotel. The area around the hotel is clean and feels very safe and so you do not need to worry when walking through the streets.

The reception staff are very friendly and helpful; they are always available to give you recommendations on local places to eat or how to get to the monuments. The staff are always smiling and full of funny quips, you feel very welcome.

The doors to the bathrooms in the rooms are made of glass. This means that you have very little privacy when you are in the bathroom as you can see right through to the toilet. The hotel should change the glass to frosted glass or fit the doors with blinds.

Some guests have reported that they found it difficult to locate this hotel as there is no signage on the building or on the street outside. The hotel is tucked in-between two restaurants. The door is red with a 27 on it.

The air-conditioning units are not very efficient. The temperature is quite difficult to control, this is especially and issue during the day when it can be quite hot. The units are quite noisy at times as well.
