Positive Reviews
positive:
All Elvis, all the time.
Guests were saying, "thank you, thank you very much" to the hotel for having 24-hour, seven day a week movies, music and videos of Elvis. Turn on the TV in your room and get lost in a never-ending circuit of Elvis concerts, interviews and Hollywood blockbusters. Hear the King belt it out in the lobby, or eat at the lounge while watching a movie with- you guessed it, Elvis.
positive:
Quirky character.
This unique hotel was far from heart-breaking for many guests.True Elvis fans will appreciate the kitschy vibe of this boutique hotel, oozing with all things Elvis. Guests felt they especially got their Elvis fix in the theme suites that offered up plenty of Elvis memorabilia and charm. Little touches like a pink, fuzzy phone in the lobby, and the worth-writing-home-about pool shaped like a heart, made some guests want to plan a return visit.
positive:
Visible security.
In an area that made some guests think twice about walking alone at night, it was nice to see security patrolling the outside premises. For the most part, guests felt safe at this hotel, but they felt even safer knowing someone was keeping an eye on things.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Has seen better days.
A fresh coat of paint and some stain removal could go a long way in improving this hotel, according to some guests. An older property, visitors to Elvis Presley's Heartbreak Hotel noticed signs of the hotel starting to show its age.
negative:
Not the best location.
While across the street from famed Graceland, guests felt they were removed from the rest of the Memphis action. They appreciated the shuttle service to hopping Beale Street, but wished they were able to walk to more attractions.
negative:
Hit and miss staff.
Positive interactions with staff members were had by many staying at this hotel, but others weren't as lucky. Some staff needed to work on their customer service skills, according to several guests.
