Many sightseeing destinations, including San Miguel Mission, can be reached on foot. The Plaza is just three blocks away. Despite being close to the town center, guests thought the hotel location is in quiet area, and appreciated the availability of parking.
Make sure to stop by the hotel's onsite restaurant, Santa Fe Bite, specializing in burgers and handmade milkshakes. Guests rave about their fantastic food and great service, and recommend the restaurant's famous Green Chili Cheeseburger.
The staff at Garretts Desert Inn is sincerely friendly, accommodating, and treats its guests like family. Guests were impressed with the fast, efficient service and were happy to be able to bring their pets.
The hotel isn't new and it shows. Even though guests found the accommodations clean and comfortable, they thought the rooms could be renovated and modernized. The overall appearance of the rooms is outdated and the poor lighting doesn't help. In addition, the small tube TVs could be replaced with something more updated.
The Wi-Fi is complimentary but unfortunately, slow. Several guests said they could not comfortably surf the internet.
Guests were disappointed about not having breakfast options during the week. Even though the onsite restaurant is open for breakfast hours, it does not serve a standard breakfast menu during the weekdays. Breakfast is only available on the weekends.
