Positive Reviews
positive:
Terrific central location
While Istanbul is a massive city, with several areas that are centres in their own right, guests seemed to feel that the Delta was very well placed for their needs, with the Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar both within walking distance. Also mentioned was the proximity to the tram, which guests found very useful.
positive:
Exceptional staff and manager
The staff were universally praised for both their kindness and professionalism. The hotel's manager was said to lead from the top by being incredibly hands-on, and always making sure guests had everything they needed for their stay.
positive:
Very good breakfast
While there were not many comments about the other meals, which the hotel's restaurant also serves, seemingly all guests who had the breakfast thought very highly of it. It was described as a typical breakfast buffet, but well presented and with a great variety of foods.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Rooms have very poor soundproofing
This was a fairly common complaint. Guests mention that not only did the noise from the street disturb their sleep at night, but also that they could hear sound from the adjacent rooms almost as if it were coming from their own.
negative:
Very poor WiFi
Like most hotels perhaps, the Wi-Fi at Delta Hotel is not given high marks by the guests. It is described as unreliable, and even when working was too slow for their requirements.
negative:
Rooms a bit small
Though not mentioned very often, a number of guests were quite disappointed in the size of their room, saying it was much smaller than they had expected.
