Daiwa Roynet Hotel Kyoto-Hachijoguchi (Kyoto, Japan)

Guests liked the close proximity of the Kyoto station, making it easy to go on daytrips out of the city or get to the airport. A subway station is nearby as well to explore the city. The neighbourhood has been described as quiet, offering restaurants and convenience stores. Many sights can also be reached by a fifteen minute walk.

The rooms are referred to by guests as very clean and equipped with comfortable beds. The bathrooms are well appointed and quite spacious. Guests also enjoyed the many room amenities and felt they received a fair value.

Guests who booked the breakfast buffet felt the price was very reasonable and the buffet spread was nice. The buffet features many Japanese dishes, so if you wanted to try traditional Japanese food, this is a good choice. There are also international dishes available if you are a little less adventurous.

Guests who had booked queen rooms were not very happy about the fact that the bed is pushed against the wall with one side, giving only one person an easy way to get in and out of bed. This is due to the small room size which does not accommodate the bed any other way.

Guests were a bit surprised that they could not receive any English language channels in this hotel. The Wi-Fi works well so you can probably stream some entertainment.

While some guests felt they received very good customer service others were not impressed and felt the service has some room to improve. They described the staff as impersonal or not very helpful.
