Country Inn Lake Resort (Hot Springs, USA)

If the resort was any closer to the lake, it would be in the lake. If you're staying here, expect some amazing views and lots of lake-related activities including swimming and boat rides. The kids can also have lots of fun feeding the fish and ducks. The resort is in a fairly serene location that's far from heavy traffic (yet within a five-minute drive of most of the other attractions).

The rooms are not the height of luxury, but they work well for a lake vacation. If you get one with a balcony facing the lake, you can relax there and watch the boats. The beds are comfortable, too, and the shower is nice and strong.

The staff is welcoming and quite helpful. They have a charming smile and will do their best to accommodate your needs, including special requests.

The floors below carry all the noise from the rooms above. This can be annoying, especially when it involves furniture being dragged around. You will find the AC units are also noisy.

Space is limited in the rooms, and you most likely will not spread out. It seems these rooms aren't designed for guests planning to spend a lot of time indoors.

The TV comes with only the most basic channels and others are in Spanish. This is yet further proof that you won't have much to do if you're going to spend more time indoors.
