The Corriegarth is one of Inverness’ oldest hotels — having been founded in 1840 — and now offers 3-star downtown accommodation less than 15 minutes’ walk away from the Eastgate Shopping Centre, Inverness Station, the Ness River, Inverness Museum & Art Gallery and Inverness Castle. Guests will find themselves about 15 minutes’ drive away from Loch Ness and half an hour from Urquhart Castle.
All six rooms are en-suite, with flat-screen TVs and Freeview, free Wi-Fi, a hairdryer, complimentary toiletries and mineral water, as well as tea, coffee and homemade biscuits.

The hotel is said to be located in a quiet part of the city, which is nevertheless just a short walk away from the attractions of downtown Inverness, including the Inverness Castle. The Corriegarth was also considered to be a great base for heading out to explore the Scottish Highlands, according to some of those who stayed.

Based on reviews, it seems the food in the on-site pub and restaurant is of a very good standard, with the bar and lounge areas also being mentioned as serving a very wide range of refreshments and attracting a nice clientele. The cooked Scottish breakfasts were also very popular with many of those who stayed.
