Copa Sul Hotel (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)

The hotel is just a few minutes' walk away from Copacabana Beach, a great place to spend the day. Ipanema Beach is a bit further out but is still reachable on foot. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area, too, so eating out and having fun is easy when you're staying at this hotel.

The breakfast on the premises is free, and it features a wide selection of foods including fresh bread, pastries, fruits, juices, and cereals. What great way to start your day in Rio!

Except for a few exceptions, most of the staff members are very friendly and helpful. In particular, the bellboys are certain to thrill you.

There are too many sources of noise in and around the hotel: There is some uproar coming in from the street. The dated air-conditioning systems are not any quiet. There is also occasional noise coming from the staff as they work in other rooms.

Wi-Fi is free but is rather unreliable. On most days it's quite slow, and on some days it's completely unavailable. You may have to make prior arrangements if you need reliable access to the Internet.

In many ways, the hotel is too simple. There are many amenities, such as coffeemakers, that are unavailable in the rooms. There's also no pool or fitness centre on site. The view from most of the rooms is drab, either.
