Comfort Hotel Aeroport Lyon St Exupery (Lyon, France)

Rooms didn't knock guests' socks off, but they did have a full bathroom with bathtub, a powerful shower, and a comfortable bed for a great sleep before an early flight. And for a hotel that has a lot of people coming and going to the airport, it was noticeably quiet.

Everyone from the staff at reception to the servers in the restaurant were prompt and pleasant. Guests had no issues with staff here, and would be happy if all hotels had service this good.

While some guests would have liked the option to eat during the day, those that dined in the evening or for breakfast were pleased. A real bonus was that the breakfast buffet started very early, a nice touch for those who needed to get an early start.

Some guests noticed wear and tear in their rooms. Certain rooms were starting to look run down and scruffy, with things like dirty carpet, chipped paint, and marks and damage to the walls. While good for a quick overnight visit, some said that rooms didn't entice them to stay any longer.

Accommodation was definitely small, according to guests who would have liked more space. Low ceilings did little to make rooms feel bigger, and if you're looking for somewhere spacious to spend a night, this might not do the job.

For some, the only negative aspect was that there was nothing besides the airport around. If you want easy access for a flight, look no further, but if you want to have a bit more ambience near the hotel, you'll be out of luck.
