Colonial Lodge Motel (Geelong, Australia)

The motel price is not overly expensive for a cheap stay in Geelong. You can probably deal with it easily for a night or two.

Not only are you close to the Geelong city centre, the location is convenient if you are visiting Kardinia Park as well. You won't be too far from a small shopping area, supermarkets, and fast food restaurants. The High Street and Belmont is easily walkable, and there are plenty of buses that go into the centre of town.

If you are driving at least there is some parking provided. It comes in handy as the area is quite busy.

You may find it a struggle getting comfortable at this facility. Old linens, dirty carpeting, bad smells, filthy shower, uncomfortable bed, and ineffective heating, are just a few of the things that will make it hard for you to get cosy. Oh, you may encounter bedbugs too!

Basically, this place needs updating. All the dust makes it look like the rooms are frozen in time and haven't been touched in years. Utensils are old, furnishings are taped together, and mattresses are nothing but material with stuffing. It's looks like they've pretty much given up on the place.

There are dodgy people wandering about the place knocking on doors and shouting obscenities at the top of their lungs. Don't expect much relief from the motel owners either, it's like they're used to it and accepted it as part of the scene.
