Guests staying at this motel appreciate the freebies that come with renting a room, as this is a budget location and any complimentary amenities go a long way toward making the overall experience more attractive. This location offers free Wi-Fi, free breakfast, and free on-site parking.

Guests appreciate the pleasant chattiness of the staff. A smiling face usually greets guests at reception, and staff and management reportedly are more than willing to engage in conversation and provide details on local dining.

Although not all aspects of the establishment are considered completely clean by guests (see the negatives section), guests to The Cocoa do say that the pool is kept satisfactorily cleaned.

There are some very noticeable cleanliness issues at this motel, guests report. Hair clogs in the bathroom sinks and occasional odors have been noticed. Additionally and more pervasively, there are numerous stains throughout many of the rooms here. The carpets are stained, and even bed sheets suffer from staining. The staff has commented that a full renovation is coming in the offseason, although for many that is simply not soon enough.

Several guests report that the walls at this motel are too thin, and that noise from other rooms and from outside the establishment filter in easily and cause disruptions that can make resting a more troublesome task than it should be.

Most guests agree that the Wi-Fi Internet access at The Cocoa, while free, is simply not up to the task. Disconnections are frequent, and some guests report receiving no service whatsoever during their stay.
