Positive Reviews
positive:
Really convenient location
Many guests loved the fact that this hotel is very handily placed for enjoying the leafy pleasures of Ueno Park and strolling around the nearby electronics mecca of Akihabara. Being surrounded on all sides by some fantastic restaurants, shops and markets - many of which remain open into the wee early hours - is also considered a big plus. Having Ueno Station so close by is a bonus too, as it affords easy access to almost anywhere in Tokyo (and beyond), including the airport via the Narita Express.
positive:
Hospitable receptionists are very service-minded
Numerous visitors have praised the smiley receptionists for the way in which they consistently manage to satisfy - and often even exceed - the expectations of their guests.
positive:
Some pretty cool vistas available
Many guests considered it a real bonus that most of the guest rooms here come with balconies as it meant they could step outside any time they liked and be greeted with a fantastic view of downtown Akihabara which most tourists would fall over themselves to get a photo of!
Negative Reviews
negative:
Accommodations are very compact
The vast majority of guests who stayed here with a partner didn't appreciate the very limited amount of space they had within their accommodations.
negative:
Neighbourhood can be a little sketchy
Very few visitors were pleased to discover that this hotel is located close to a red light district. Whilst it may not be as 'in your face' as somewhere like Amsterdam, some may find it a little unnerving!
negative:
There's only one lift
It's a pretty large building and yet there's only one lift. Unsurprisingly, waiting around aimlessly during busy periods was not something many guests enjoyed doing.
