Candlewood Suites - Bluffton-Hilton Head, an IHG Hotel (Bluffton, USA)

The hotel is close to the highway, which allows for convenient navigation across the area, but guests noted that the surrounding area was quiet nonetheless. There are several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, and Downtown Savannah and the Hilton Head Island beach are less than a half hour away.

Guests enjoyed that the hotel features a pool and even more so that it provided a quiet place in the sun all day long. They noted that the hotel has many DVDs, books and board games available and that there are free coffee and tea being served in the lobby.

Guests noted that the staff is not only friendly and professional but very knowledgeable about local attractions and restaurants and more than willing to provide such helpful information.

The hotel only offers weekly housekeeping, and a more frequent cleaning requires a small fee, but you can exchange your dirty towels and sheets at the front desk as often as needed. Several guests reported that their rooms were not all that clean, as they found dirty, bugs, dust and previous occupants' trash.

A few guests pointed out that they were a bit bothered by the inefficiently soundproofed doors, since they could hear others walk by and talk in the hallway. Some also noted that the air-conditioner and fridge made a bit of noise every once in a while.

Several guests reported that the hallways didn't smell all that fresh but instead reminded them of a wet dog, which is most likely the case since dog-friendly rooms can be found on all floors.
