About Rookley Country Park
There are plenty of activities to keep the whole family amused at Rookley Country Park, a 23-acre camping site and caravan park on the Isle of Wight.
The popular cabins are fitted with kitchens, bathrooms and double glazing. 32” flat screen TVs, bed linen and duvets are provided. There are also caravan and motor home hookups and places to pitch tents.
The well-tended grounds feature a fishing lake, two swimming pools, mini golf, and facilities for archery, horse riding, hiking and bicycling. There is a games room, a children’s play area and nightly music and entertainment. Wi-Fi is free in public areas.
Rookley Country Park features a restaurant, a bar and a snack bar. There are also vending machines for drinks and snacks.
Nearby places to visit include Carisbrook Castle, Isle of Wight Zoo, the Donkey Sanctuary, the Garlic Farm and Blackgang Chine Adventure Park.

With so many different sports and other activities and entertainment on offer at Rookley Country Park, you’ll never get bored, or have to hear the kids complaining that they have nothing to do. As you’re in the center of the Isle of Wight, you can take day trips to the many interesting attractions around the island too.

Although they are not brand new, the park’s holiday homes are large, practical and welcoming for the whole family. You have your own kitchen and bathroom so you don’t need to share facilities with other guests, but you can still take partake of all the meals and activities you want.

The camping site’s employees are young and enthusiastic, and they work hard to make your stay as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Bar staff are particularly cheerful and seem genuinely happy to help.

Housekeeping could be improved.
Some reviewers have reported that their cabins needed some additional cleaning and tidying when they arrived, and that cleaning of the common areas can be patchy at times. Odd smells can sometimes also be detected, but the cleaners will deal with them quickly if you ask.

Unsightly maintenance yard near reception.
Some guests have also remarked on the state of the maintenance yard next to the reception area. Some have suggested that management build a fence to obscure the spare building supplies and other materials stored there from general view.
