positive:
Perfect spot to get out onto the water
Of course, most guests chose this campground because it is right on the water they were looking to get out onto. They mentioned that it was ideal for those interested in fishing and boating on Somerset Dam, not only because it was right on the shores, but also because they had great launching facilities.
positive:
Good facilities for all ages
It seems that a very wide rage of guests were happy with the facilities on offer. Those with younger children liked the mini golf playgrounds and similar amenities. There were also many adult groups staying, such as engagement parties and the like. They tended to like things like the minimart and the boat launch facilities.
positive:
Grounds are kept neat and tidy
The majority of guests thought that the resort's management and groundskeepers did a pretty good job keeping the grounds in a good condition. While the work to be done increased enormously during busy times, most felt that the staff did a decent job keeping up.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Can get a little loud
This campground is perhaps used by a much wider variety of guests than many others. Even in the school holidays, it seems it isn't only families that are attracted to the site, but people from all age groups and stages of life. A couple of guests felt that a few groups using the site for parties such as engagements, created a bit too much noise.
negative:
Closed toilet/shower blocks
Some guests in accommodation that shared bathroom facilities reported that during quieter times the management closed some of the facilities, requiring a far walk to access the nearest open one.
negative:
Can get really busy
Some guests travelling in high season found that the park got much too busy and crowded for their liking.
