If it’s all about location for you, this hotel will fit the bill. The location is great and you can walk to just about everywhere. If you can’t walk there, the trams are close by and you can also take the bus. The main train station in Zurich is just five minutes away and connects to anywhere you want to go in Switzerland. The hotel immediate area includes cafés, restaurants, shopping, museums, everything!
The check-in will go along without any issues. The young staff is full of smiles and charming for the most part. They try to make your stay as easy as possible and the restaurant staff are superb as well.
Breakfast is a treat with a great variety to choose from. You have to try the birchermuesli, it’s a great breakfast meal with a mix of yoghurt, fruits, nuts, and cereal. All the food is fresh and the breads, cheeses, and pastries are tasty. The staff regularly replaces missing food items, so you don’t have to worry about missing out.
There is no air conditioning and the room can get really hot. The fan does very little to help. Opening the window is not a great option, as the area is busy and the noise can get on your nerves.
The shower is very small, which makes it somewhat uncomfortable when trying to get in and out.
The cleanliness of the room could be better. You may find dust, paint peeling, and carpet stains. What’s more, the bar area is not comfortable if you are a non-smoker. It seems that smokers are given priority.
