Guests thought the hotel's location to be ideal for their exploration of the area by car or public transportation. There's a grocery store, other eateries and a casino near the hotel building. It's also located in a nice area and near the Panama Canal and shopping area that can be reached easily with a car.

Most guests thought the staff to be very friendly and felt they were treated as if they were guests in a luxury hotel at times. The staff was helpful with tourist information and also had a positive attitude towards their guests.

The guests appreciated the hotel's varied continental breakfast that included cold and hot items such as fresh fruit and coffee. It's a breakfast buffet that is described as well-prepared and enough for guests to start their day.

Some guests thought the hotel's decoration and overall ambience was a bit too classic. The audio equipment had problems, the roofs of the conference rooms are low and furnishings are thought to need a good update.

Some guests experienced a lot of loud noise coming from the hallways and next door neighbors who had no respect for others during late evening hours or early morning. Although this was not the staff's fault they mostly did nothing to reduce or stop the noises.

The smells coming from some rooms or public areas are enough to make guests ask for a change in their rooms or not enter the public places. The smell was described as mildew and humid, and some rooms were described as unclean.
