Bed & Breakfast Tibbiwell Lodge (Painswick, United Kingdom)

The B&B is just a few hundred yards from the town centre, and guests loved that they could simply stroll into town for a spot of shopping or a bite to eat.

Guests only have praise for the B&B's hosts, Janina and Richard, saying there couldn't possibly be anything more they could have done to make them feel both welcome and informed on the surrounding area.

Quite a few guests mention staff member Smuggler by name, saying he is friendly, hardworking and adorable. Oh, and that he is the resident golden retriever.

Guests in the twin room seem to feel like the poor cousins at the B&B. It faces the back, so doesn't have the great views, and is also a bit more ordinary. If this is a concern, guests should try to book one of the other rooms.

While not a major guest concern, it was mentioned that there are no thermostats in the rooms, and it is not possible to individually control the room temperature. At night temperature will have to be regulated by how much, or how little, bedding is used.

A couple of guests mention that the country lane used to access the property is extremely narrow. Guest unused to driving on such roads will need to keep their wits about them.
