Our Grade 2 listed home offers 5 Star, Gold B&B accommodation, positioned a short walk from Kessingland beach and a fifteen minute drive to Southwold; an ideal location for exploring Suffolk’s heritage coastline. We have a breakfast award for the extensive range and quality on offer and our produce is sourced locally. Our guests are welcomed with a complimentary cream tea with home baked scones and handmade preserves. All rooms are tastefully decorated and equipped to a high standard and furnished with antiques in keeping with the property and all bathrooms are equipped with power showers. Each of our rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished with antiques in keeping with the property. Room 1 - The Master Bedroom: The huge old master bedroom of the Rectory is tastefully decorated in pale pink with a king size bed dressed to impress. Relax on the sofa in the triple aspect bay window and enjoy the views down into the stunning gardens. The room has TV, Freeview, DVD player, radio alarm clock, hair dryer and a small dressing room. You will find a fruit bowl, chocolates and a well stocked hospitality tray for your enjoyment. The soft fluffy robes and slippers will help you unwind. The large en suite shower room, with its array of towels and toiletries, adds to your comfort and makes this the perfect place to stay. Room 2 - Double Bedroom: This good size double room is decorated in sumptuous red and gold. The stunning wooden bed is piled with pillows and cushions for your comfort. The view from your window is of the formal garden where you can often see pheasants strutting around and on occasion deer eating the roses! The comfortable sofa TV, Freeview, DVD Player offers a cosy alternative to the garden. A well stocked hospitality tray, fruit bowl and chocolates all help to enhance your stay. Soft fluffy robes, slippers, towels and toiletries in your en-suite shower room complete the experience. Room 3 - Twin or Super King Sized Room: This pretty blue room can be a twin or Super King. It has views over the front formal garden and rockery. A great place to wake up and watch the deer, squirrel and birds galore. Coastal water colours of the area and original photos of Southwold give this room a tranquil nautical feel. Relax on the sofa and enjoy the TV, Freeview, DVD player or make the most of the well stocked hospitality tray, fruit bowl and chocolates. A Hair dryer, clock radio alarm, bathrobes and slippers are all on hand to make your stay as stress free as possible. Also included is a private, enormous luxury bathroom with the "wow factor" as one guest said "It's bigger than most people’s bedrooms. The large welcoming bath and separate shower are just what you need at the end of a busy day". Our breakfast options are extensive and served in our beautiful dining room at a time to suit you. All of our food and produce is sourced locally and as close to home as possible. Kessingland is the most easterly village in Britain and once boasted to be the richest. Today it is probably best known for its long wide beach and its wildlife park. Southwold is just 10 minutes away by car and we have a great, regular bus service too, however you can also walk along the beach to get there; a healthy hike after a substantial breakfast! The Old Rectory B&B has something for everyone as it is also convenient for Oulton Broad, Aldeburgh, Norwich and Lowestoft. Rates: From £115 to £130 per room per night based on 2 people sharing.
