About Palazzo Castriota
For those who want to treat themselves with an unforgettable time in the heart of our small village of Alezio, where the past meets the dynamism of the present a few steps from one of the most famous cities of Apulia, Gallipoli, the ideal is to stay at the Palazzo Castriota. Palazzo Castriota is an historical residence built in 1846 in Alezio by Luigi Castriota and his wife, who, fond of country life, decided to renovate this building once immersed in the Apulian countryside, decorating the large living room with scenes of rural life. Nowadays Palazzo Castriota is still managed by members of this famous family who have made numerous changes to the structure, using the latest technologies regarding thermal insulation, soundproofing and building automation, while continuing to preserve its historical charm. The rooms of Palazzo Castriota are the real gem of this structure: each one of the rooms available is different from the other. Each room is finely furnished and equipped with all the comforts such as: air conditioning, flat screen TV, ergonomic mattress, mini bar, courtesy pillow, safe, bathroom with elegant shower, set of towels, to make every guest feel at ease immersing them in a refined atmosphere. The two suites, other than presenting a refined and elegant furniture, also offer a Jacuzzi with waterfall stream and chromotherapy ideal for romantic getaways, while in others you can admire the presence of the remains of the previous structure and live a unique experience surrounded by history. Every morning Palazzo Castriota will delight its guests with a rich breakfast buffet that will allow to taste all the culinary delights that Puglia has to offer. In addition, the structure offers all its guests the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing swim surrounded by nature, thanks to the availability of a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and to sip an inviting cocktail in a bar on site. At Palazzo Castriota, you can take part in many activities that include: guided tours of the most famous Apulian villages, bike tours to discover the richness of the landscape of the territory, as well as the opportunity to take part in gastronomic routes ad-hoc, to taste the best wines and dishes of the typical cuisine of Salento. From the love for our land comes the desire to welcome people from all over the world, to discover our wonders and making your holiday unique and unforgettable is our must.
