Situated in a quiet, residential neighbourhood, but just a short walk from the city centre, the Angel House was perfectly located for most guests. Derry's iconic wall, also within easy walking distance, offers great views of the city and guests enjoyed the city's shops, restaurants, cathedrals and other attractions. Bogside's open air gallery, a destination for some guests, is an easy walk from the hotel.
The manager's knowledge of Derry, his warm welcome, even to late arrivals, and efforts to make guests feel comfortable all earned praise. Guests enjoyed hearing about the history of the city and recommendations on places to eat. Several guests pointed out the difference a congenial host can make to overall satisfaction and felt that Angel House definitely passed the test.
Guests described the en-suite rooms as tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable and raved over the cooked Irish breakfast with homemade scones; some called it the best breakfast in Northern Ireland. Convenient street parking and budget friendly prices had many guests say they would definitely recommend Angel House to anyone visiting Derry.
