Positive Reviews
positive:
Everything you want in a bed and breakfast.
Guests thought that the bases were covered for a pleasant stay. A continental Italian-style breakfast with a good selection was nicely presented, and rooms were found to be exceptionally clean. Spacious accommodation was also tastefully furnished and decorated, suiting the needs of the discerning traveller.
positive:
Charming hostess.
The landlady at Home Sweet Home knew a thing or two about wonderful customer service. Guests really did feel like they were at home, and the thoughtful hostess was a big reason why.
positive:
A good location.
Guests were generally satisfied with the location. A 15-minute walk took them to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, as well as the old town. The Pisa Cathedral was also very close, and a supermarket, plus the taste of real Italy with pizza and gelato were nearby.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Near the railway tracks.
If you happen to have your window open to catch a breeze, you might hear trains going by. A few light sleepers also heard trains at night with the windows closed, but the majority of guests said that it wasn't a problem.
negative:
Could be warmer in the winter.
A few staying here found it to be uncomfortably cold during cooler temperatures. This was largely due to tile flooring and a heater that seemed to turn on and off frequently. If your visit happens to be during winter, you might want to bring an extra layer of clothes.
negative:
Extra sound-proofing might be necessary.
Unfortunately, a few guests heard too much noise coming from next door neighbours. Thin walls didn't do enough to drown out noise for some.
