Views of the Mull of Kintyre, Ireland, Arran and Ailsa Craig form a spectacular backdrop. Whether it is walking, cycling, or motoring through the myriad of quiet roads, visiting the abbeys, castles and standing stones in an area steeped in history; or exploring the many beautiful gardens; or playing golf on championship and outstanding local courses; or salmon, trout and sea fishing, there is something for everyone. Our many returning guests always have food high on their agenda. Gastronomic delights produced in the country kitchen are all created from the best of local, Scottish, produce – home grown vegetables, fruit and herbs from the kitchen garden, local reared meat, game, cheese and freshly caught seafood (Ballantrae prawns, lobster and crab). Half an hour south of us is the main ferry terminals to Ireland.
