Welgelegen is centrally located between the Frisian cities Workum and Hindeloopen.Most People come to walk, cycle, kite and wind surfers. You can stay in a B&B room or in a accommodation such as Pipo cars, retro caravan holiday cabins on the campsite. You can find lots of cozy corners to relax in and there is a lovely natural swimming pool; water is filtered through lava stone and natural vegetation. There is a little bar where you can eat delicious freshly made pizza. Saturday is always grilling and chilling out there; you have to book in advance. You will be grilling with all the other guests there. Salads, homemade sauces and herb butter with five kinds of meat or vegetarian. You can order breakfast the night before. There is a lovely patio where you can sit outside to have breakfast. There is a kite school where you can get lessons or rent equipment. There are also canoes and sups for rent, and bikes on request. Welgelgen is located near the IJssellake and has three great kitespots Hindeloopen, Workum and Mirns.
