Although free Wi-Fi is available in the Bale (common area) of the hotel, there is an added charge for accessing the Wi-Fi in private rooms. Many guests found that to be needless and very inconvenient, especially when keeping in touch with family, or attempting to conduct business.

There have been ongoing problems with hot water, air conditioning, and other amenities in certain rooms of the hotel. Guests were quick to comment that staff did try their best to address those issues, but general renovations and repairs are definitely overdue.

Due to the open layout and general environment, the Bumi Ayu Bungalows is prone to having problems with mosquitoes and other bugs getting into guest rooms. While this isn't the staff's fault, you should be prepared to see bugs in and around the hotel. Bring repellent.
