Athens Choice Hotel (Athens, Greece)

The hostel is in a great location when considering its proximity to the major tourist sites of Athens. There is also the Omonia Metro Station just a few minutes away that you can use to get around the city, a sightseeing tour bus also operates from the Omonia Square.

The staff at this hostel are very warm and accommodating, you are always greeted with a friendly smile and you are made to feel very welcome. The reception staff will happily give you advise on places to go and things to do, they will also help book your tours or help you hire a car. The staff will also give you a free walking tour of Athens.

The cleaning staff do a fantastic job at keeping your room lovely and clean, they change your towels and bedding daily. The rooms are spacious and bright, the appliances and furnishing are modern and the beds are comfortable.

The private bathrooms are quite small and not very functional. The shower stall is small and the showerhead is handheld which is inconvenient, there is no door or curtain and so water gets all over the floor whilst you shower. The water takes long to heat up.

The street on which this hostel is located is not great, there are often seedy characters hanging around. There is a strip club close by. It can be scary trying to walk back to the hostel at night, especially if you are a lone traveller.
