The food is excellent, according to guests. The Journey Steakhouse is rated particularly highly, and even if you're very particular about your steak, you should find it cooked to perfection. Plus, there's enough variety of eateries to suit all tastes.

Guests rave about the bathrooms - so often, hotel bathrooms are a bit of an oversight, but not at Argosy. All bathrooms feature real granite fittings, for a start, and you'll enjoy luxuriating beneath the powerful rainfall shower, and pampering yourself with the free toiletries provided.

One notable facility that's lacking at this hotel is a swimming pool. Given that there's a spa onsite, you might expect there to be a pool as well, but unfortunately this isn't the case, and it has left some guests a little disappointed.

If you're planning a trip to Kansas City to see the sights, you might find that this hotel is a bit out of the way. Guests on business trips or who came for the casino and spa had no problems with the location, but those who were exploring the city didn't find it so convenient.

Some guests comment that the basic room rate seems a bit overpriced for what you get, especially considering that few extras are included - WiFi and breakfast, for example, incur additional charges. Considering the cost per night, you may feel that having to pay extra for these basics is over the top.
