Negative Reviews
negative:
A wait for breakfast.
You may be forced to wait for your meal at The Anglesey Arms. Guests have found that mornings in particular seem a little unorganised and under staffed, and as a result breakfast isn’t served straight away. The food is still reported to be of good quality, and the manager appears to have taken the staffing concerns on board.
negative:
A bustling pub that never sleeps.
The pub is full of character and is frequented by locals, which creates a bustling vibe that often continues well into the early hours of the morning- especially on weekends. The sound has been known to travel into the guest rooms, so try to opt for a room away from the pub if you are preparing to turn in early.
negative:
Inconsistent temperature control.
Prepare for a toasty stay if visiting in summer or spring. Many guests claim that rooms have become stuffy and warm and there is limited ability to control the temperature. On the other hand, several guests have mentioned that the pub area can remain quite cold throughout the evening.
