Positive Reviews
positive:
Breakfasts with local flair.
The breakfast options include staples with both Western and Thai roots, making it an excellent blend of cultures and flavours. There are ample portions and a great variety of dishes, and the convenience of a full on-site restaurant is unbeatable.
positive:
Excellent placement.
Because the property is located near some of the city's northern landmarks, it's remarkably easy to make your way around the area on foot, with a bicycle, or using cabs. There are a surprising amount of Buddhist temples, statues, and other works in the immediate area.
positive:
Wonderful room ambiance.
There are loads of beautiful details put into each room, both in terms of general layout and furnishings. The traditional Thai decor is one of the property's defining features, as it makes use of a northern style known as Lanna.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Wi-Fi is unreliable.
Numerous guests reported their Wi-Fi access either slowing down to an unusable level or being unavailable on their device. This could make the property a questionable choice if you're travelling for business or have another pressing need to access wireless networks during your stay.
negative:
Unregulated pool temperatures.
The pool area is largely shaded by overhanging trees, which makes the temperature unreliable and often far lower than it ought to be. Many guests found the pool too uncomfortable for swimming or general leisure, although the surrounding terrace is adequate for relaxation.
negative:
Beds are too firm.
The mattresses used in guest rooms are in sore need of an overhaul. At the moment, they're too stiff and can cause back pain, even if you're accustomed to harder mattresses at home. This is a shame, considering the rest of the bedding is soft and luxurious.
