AMCO Hotel & Suites (Austin, USA)

The AMCO Hotel and Suites is by the Interstate 35 and offers easy access to guests to visit the attractions in and around Austin. It is within four miles from the southern side of the State Capitol. The Austin city center is only about six kilometers and the Circuit of the America is 15 minutes by car from the hotel.

The rooms are furnished moderately with flat screen satellite television, kettle, fridge and microwave. Bathrooms are en suite with tub and shower. Suites have huge windows with long drapes and city views. They have a separate work space as well along with lounge chairs and couch.

The hotel has amenities of a 24 hour reception and a 24 hour business center. The staff at the hotel is multilingual. Breakfast is continental and inclusive. Guests can park their cars in the complimentary parking area.

The complimentary breakfast served equals to being non-existent as it comprises of cereal, pop tarts and juice cartons. Not even milk is served.

The elevator is faulty and in a constant state of repair. Guests have got stuck in it. Even though it has an out of order sign on it, the staff tells guests to use it. Alternatively a sign saying that the elevator is to be used at your own risk is displayed; so guests are scared to use it. One stairway is broken but thankfully there is a second stairway which is in working condition.

The staff is rude and unhelpful. Service extended by them is bad and timely solutions to problems like elevator issues and room changing is not provided. Rooms are dusty and beds and pillows are uncomfortable. Wi-Fi connectivity is weak and streaming is next to impossible.
