Positive Reviews
positive:
Located in central Rhodes.
If you want to be among the hustle and bustle of central
Rhodes, then the location of Amaryllis is hard to top. Guests love the
proximity to bars, shops and the beach, as well as to the cultural attractions
of the old town. You'll have everything you need within walking distance.
positive:
Fast, free WiFi
Guests say that the WiFi is reliable and speedy, so there's
one less stress to deal with. You should be able to get online anywhere in the
hotel, including from the comfort of your room, whether you want to search for
a restaurant for dinner, or post your holiday snaps.
positive:
Friendly staff.
Guests rate the service at this hotel, particularly
commending the management, who go out of their way to make themselves
personally known, so you'll have a friendly welcome and someone to go to with
any problems or questions.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Noisy atmosphere.
Amaryllis is located on a busy street with lots of bars, so
while it's great for night owls who want the party atmosphere of Rhodes, it's not
so great if you're trying to sleep. Some guests have also complained of noise
within the hotel, particularly from partygoers returning in the wee hours.
negative:
Rooms need updating.
The rooms are no-frills, and while guests staying here aren't
expecting top class facilities, they comment that the general décor and
maintenance could do with some improvement. A fresh lick of paint is probably
needed to freshen the rooms up.
negative:
Slightly cramped conditions.
There isn't a huge amount of space in the rooms, and some
guests have found it a bit of a squeeze, or too hot at night. If you bring
loads of luggage, then you'll probably find the space a bit limited, with few
places to put everything.
