Positive Reviews
positive:
This is a hotel with a personality.
From the guest rooms to the public areas, Aloft Plano has a hip and quirky vibe, and doesn't feel like an ordinary chain hotel. The lounge is a great place to meet business associates, but you can also play board games or pool. The music is upbeat, not Muzak, and the staff treat you like a real guest.
positive:
The room amenities are great.
Guest rooms come with thoughtful amenities like mini-fridges, coffee makers with good-quality ground coffee, and designer shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom dispensers. You might also appreciate the hotel's green program, which lets you forgo room cleaning in exchange for a voucher for snacks or services.
positive:

If you're in Plano on business, you'll find many corporate headquarters and other major businesses within a few minutes' drive or shuttle bus ride. In your free time you can enjoy all the nearby restaurants, bars and shopping malls too.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Food options at the hotel are limited.
While you can get snacks at the bar or grab a light meal or treat from re:fuel, there's no restaurant on site, so you'll need to venture out if you want a substantial meal.
negative:
Noise can be an issue.
If you're a light sleeper, guests advice you should ask for a room that doesn't face the Dallas North Tollway. If your room is near the bar and lounge, you might also be able to hear the music in the evenings. Some reviewers report being disturbed by large parties of guests who are enjoying Aloft Plano's reduced weekend rates.
negative:
Sleepers might be disturbed by the bathroom light.
The frosted glass panel between the bathroom and bedroom lets light into the room if you switch the bathroom light on at night.
